New year brings new sustainability resources for nonprofits

As we near 2025, the new year is shaping up to be one of sustainable growth and impactful opportunities! From new partnerships and resources to exciting grant possibilities, the path to a more resilient, collaborative, and sustainable future starts now — and your organization can be part of it.

Free sustainability tips

You’ll recall that earlier this year we launched our first cohort of Nonprofit Capacity Building Program grantees, including the Sustainability Institute. The Sustainability Institute believes that embracing sustainability leads to abundant well-being, clean air and water, nutritious food, decent jobs, and biodiversity, pointing us toward a more vibrant future for our communities. Nonprofit toolkit for climate action

In 2023, La Crosse Area Community Foundation made a mini-grant to Climate Alliance for the Common Good to produce a small business climate toolkit. In 2024, we expanded that partnership to include a toolkit specific to nonprofits. Large or small, your organization can take steps in the fight against climate change. Opportunity for free solar power

Finally, we’re thrilled to announce that LACF is working with an anonymous donor to make grants for solar installation on nonprofit-owned/operated buildings in our area! We don’t have the details worked out quite yet and need your help to understand the need and interest in an opportunity like this one. If your organization is interested in learning more or staying informed about this opportunity, please take our short survey.

Embracing sustainability

We’re excited to have so many opportunities to embrace sustainability in our community and plentiful resources to support us in those efforts. Join us in doing your part to create a more sustainable world!
