Chad Dull named new CEO at LACF
La Crosse Area Community Foundation has appointed Chad Dull as its new CEO, effective January 7. Dull will succeed Jamie Schloegel, who led the foundation with dedication and distinction for the last six years.
New CEO brings experience in innovative leadership, building social capital
A purpose-driven community leader, Dull brings extensive experience in addressing socio-economic challenges and furthering opportunities for underrepresented groups. His work as the CEO and founder of Poverty Informed Practice LLC, combined with leadership roles in education and community impact, demonstrates his commitment to equitable solutions and authentic impact.
LACF Board Chair Rick Kyte said the search was challenging due to the high number of excellent candidates, but Dull is the right person to advance its strategic goals.
“The board selected Chad to maintain the foundation’s extraordinary reputation and to embrace and execute our strategic plan, which is deeply rooted in social capital,” Kyte said. “His expertise, communication skills, and commitment to building a robust community make him the ideal leader for this role. Chad’s vision for making La Crosse a thriving place for everyone truly stood out.”
Dull’s approach aligns closely with LACF’s values and mission. “There’s too much potential trapped in poverty,” Dull said. “Resources and connections are the way out.” Having been raised in difficult circumstances, it’s a concept he understands firsthand.
Local roots
“Under Jamie’s leadership, the foundation has laid the groundwork, and now it’s time to execute. La Crosse is where I live, where my kids live, and where we have opportunities to make a significant difference for those who’ve been left out. This is home, and I want to create meaningful impact here.”
Dull’s professional achievements include nationally recognized work on poverty-informed practices, authoring “Poverty Informed Practice in Education,” and delivering presentations to over 100 audiences across the country. He has also held leadership roles at Western Technical College, Minnesota State College Southeast, and the School District of La Crosse, spearheading innovative programs and initiatives that have measurably transformed communities.
Originally from Cashton, WI, Dull has lived in La Crosse since 1999. He is the proud father of two Logan High School graduates. His family remains deeply connected to the La Crosse area, and he is passionate about building a stronger, more inclusive community.
The La Crosse Area Community Foundation is poised to begin an exciting new chapter under Chad Dull’s leadership, furthering its mission to improve the quality of life for all in the La Crosse area.
