Boys and Girls Club Brings Powell-Poage-Hamilton Neighbors Together

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Neighborhood Fund at La Crosse Community Foundation and a $10,000 from the Franke Foundation for a multicultural family night at the Mathy Center. Families in the Powell-Poage-Hamilton neighborhood have an opportunity to get to know each other better. Each Thursday, the Mathy Boys and Girls Club hosts a family night packed with activities, information, and a meal. The Hillview Urban Agriculture Center comes twice a month for the crockpot demonstrations to teach families how to use a crockpot to make dinnertime easier and healthier.

This program was funded, in part, by a Neighborhood Grant from La Crosse Community Foundation as well as a grant from the Franke Foundation to assist unifying the neighborhood and helping neighbors meet their neighbors.
