Spring 2025 Grant Announcement

April 7, 2025

By Lauren Journot, Impact Director

Flowers and green leavest growing

Anyone else tired of the “every season” season we’ve been experiencing? I’ll be glad when I can feel confident putting away my winter gear. Despite the weather causing confusion, one thing that is crystal clear to us here at La Crosse Area Community Foundation, is that nonprofits need community support as much as ever! In Quarter 1, we received over 30 applications totaling a whopping $1.7M in requests. Due to our community’s generosity, we were able to award over $220,000 in Quarter 1. However, that means we had to deny over $1.4 million in requests, a large amount of that being basic needs and connections to systems of care for our community’s families, youth, and underserved populations. We celebrate the generosity that makes this work happen and recognize the scope of work we have yet to do to ensure our community is a welcoming, belonging, and rich place for all people in the greater La Crosse area. We invite you to join us in whatever capacity you can to build more capital for La Crosse area nonprofits. Click here to learn more about ways to make an impact.

Quarter 2 Mini Grant Applications are open now and close April 22, 2025. For this cycle, we’re seeking applications for project-based community solutions or programming. This year, we have just under $100,000 remaining for the “Standard/Mini Grant Allocation,” and while that may change depending on how Quarter 3 awards shake out, it’s a good time to get your application in before funding is exhausted. Micro grants will remain open and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until all allocated funds are distributed ($70,000). See below for additional grant cycle information for 2025!
