La Crosse Gives Warmth This Holiday Season

Give Warmth Campaign ensures no one’s left out in the cold

We are immensely grateful to each and every one of you for the overwhelming support you showed during our Give Warmth campaign this Giving Tuesday. Thanks to your generosity, we achieved our ambitious goal of raising $50,000. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those in our community facing housing challenges during the cold Wisconsin winter.

The need we addressed is real and pressing. Many in our community struggle with housing instability, and the harsh winter months only exacerbate these difficulties. Recognizing this, we launched “Give Warmth” with a clear objective: to provide immediate and effective assistance to keep people in their homes and sheltered this season.

Give Warmth donations aid short-term, long-term needs

The $50,000 raised from the “Give Warmth” campaign will be used strategically to provide substantial and much-needed support to individuals and families facing housing challenges in our community. The funds will be allocated through the REACH Center, ensuring a coordinated approach to addressing immediate needs.

Specifically, the money will assist in housing navigation, homelessness prevention, and essential healthcare services. Funds will also be directed toward ensuring basic needs like groceries are met, and childcare needed to remain employed is provided, so people who are struggling don’t have to choose between buying groceries and paying rent. And people can continue working so they can pay for their housing. This thoughtful allocation of resources aims to offer immediate relief and contribute to long-term solutions for housing stability in the La Crosse community.
