Jim’s Grocery Bag-Schroeder Fund

Barbara Schroeder appreciated the challenges faced by young people who need adequate nutrition in order to do well in school. This fund’s earnings are shared by all La Crosse County public school districts, based on population and free and reduced meal percentages. According to friend, Mary Lund, Barb was the “kind of person who liked to make someone’s life better when they least expected it.”
